The Goddess Persephone was the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, and the consort of Hades, God of the Underworld. Her ability to travel back and forth between the underworld and the upperworld is how the seasons were believed to have been created in Greek mythology. These earrings point downward, reminding us that to stay in balance, we too must sometimes journey to the underworld. These earrings remind us to look within, and explore unknown territories within our own psyches and souls.
